Saturday 25 July 2026 – The Summer Racket Festival – a great opportunity to try our facilities for free.
The Summer Racket Festival at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre is a fantastic, free event for the whole family. Suitable for all ages, it offers a chance to try Padel, tennis on all three Grand Slam surfaces—grass, hard, and the new clay courts—and even play on the popular tennis dartboard. All equipment is provided at no cost, there is no need to book so participants can just turn up and play. Expert coaches are available to support players of every skill level, ensuring a fun and inclusive experience for everyone. To round off the day, there will be a live DJ spinning summer tunes, along with a bar and BBQ for refreshments. It’s a lively, engaging way to get active and enjoy tennis in a festival atmosphere.
What is available to do?
During the free Summer Racket Festival there are a host of free activities to get involved in.
The Padel courts will be open with all the equipment available to borrow and suitable for all ages and ability levels. For beginners we will have a coach on hand to give hints and tips on how to play. For the more experienced players there will be opportunities to meet new players and enjoy the thrill of Padel.
We will open up all three slam surfaces for you to try including the hard courts, the grass courts and our new clay courts.
Our soon to be famous tennis inflatables will be available to see if you can score a 180 on the giant dartboard
The Event is aid of the LTA Tennis Foundation with an opportunity to win some great prizes on the golden shot.

Parent & Child Doubles ‘Family Cup’ Competition
The Family Cup returns this summer as part of the Summer Racket Festival 2026.
The event is a fun doubles event played on our Grass Courts with lots of prizes to be won. The event will be played on Mini Red size courts (badminton size) played with red cloth balls (slower and lower bouncing balls). Suitable for players aged 5 – 10 years with and adult partner (16+)

- Advanced sign up required (max 16 Teams)
In the event of bad weather the event will be played on either an outdoor hard court or indoors so turn up whatever the weather.
teen Tennis Competition on clay
Be part of the first ever Youth Yellow Tennis Competition on clay as part of the Summer Racket Festival 2026.
Sign up to our first ever Teen Tennis Competition on the new clay courts at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre. The event is not for ratings or rankings, its just a great opportunity to test your skills and play like Nadal on the new Red Plus Clay courts. The event will be played as a doubles format with players rotating partners throughout so there is no need to enter as a team. The event is suitable for players aged 10 to 17 years who can serve, rally and score and ideal for players who attend the Centre improver and development sessions or attend the weekly Youth Matchplay sessions. Following the event, why not stay and enjoy the Summer Racket Festival activities where we will have live DJ playing summer tunes plus a BBQ and drinks served.

Padel Competition
Join us for our first Padel Competition as part of the Summer Racket Festival 2026.
Sign up to our first ever Padel Competition at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre. The event is not for ratings or rankings, its just a great opportunity to test your skills, meet new Padel friends and enjoy the thrill of competitive Padel play. The event will be played as a doubles format. Players enter as an individual where you can either arrange your own partner or we can pair you up with someone on the day. The event is suitable for intermediate standard players aged 16+ who can serve, rally, score play off the glass. Following the event, why not stay and enjoy the Summer Racket Festival activities where we will have live DJ playing summer tunes plus a BBQ and bar.

The courts are covered so the event will continue regardless of the weather.
Summer Racket Festival in aid of the LTA Tennis Foundation
The LTA Tennis Foundation is the LTA’s official charity, with a mission to improve lives through tennis.
The Summer Racket Festival 2026 is a free event to take part from 1.30pm – 4.30pm with lots activities to get involved in.
During the event there will be an opportunity to enter a raffle and take part on the Golden Shot to win some amazing prizes. All proceeds will go towards the LTA Tennis Foundation
